Community Voices Helping Shape the Future of WDMH
October 01, 2026
Strong local health care starts with
community involvement, and Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) is
welcoming new voices to help shape its future.
This year, WDMH is welcoming two new members
to its Board of Directors, while Annik Blanchard steps into the role of Board Chair. Together, the new and returning members
bring expertise in health
care, finance, governance, research, public
service, and community leadership; keeping local voices at the heart
of decisions
about WDMH's future.
As Board Chair, Annik Blanchard brings extensive experience and
a strong commitment to community service. A
Chartered Professional Accountant and Partner at BDO Canada, she joined the WDMH Board in 2021 and has served as Treasurer and Vice Chair. She has also
volunteered with
community and charitable organizations that support causes across the region. Known for her collaborative leadership style
and dedication to giving back, she is committed to helping WDMH meet the needs of the communities it serves.
Joining the Board this year, Aram Kerkonian
brings experience in public service and education. A lawyer and university instructor, he moved to Eastern Ontario with his family in 2021 and quickly fell in
love with the area. He looks forward to giving back by
supporting the hospital's future.
Also joining the Board is Jacinta Yelle, a
Chartered Professional Accountant with experience working with health care and public-sector organizations. Passionate about strong leadership, accountability, and service, she is eager to contribute her skills to WDMH.
"Our Board members bring a wide range of
experiences and perspectives, but they all share a strong commitment to local
health care," said Cholly Boland, WDMH Chief Executive Officer.
"We're excited to welcome Aram and Jacinta to the Board and look forward
to working with Annik as Board Chair. Together, they'll help ensure WDMH
continues to provide excellent care close to home while staying connected to
the communities we serve.
Working closely with hospital leadership, the WDMH Board of Directors helps
set strategic priorities, strengthen accountability,
and plan for the future while
keeping the needs of the communities WDMH serves at the heart of its decisions.
With community voices at the
table, WDMH is ready for what comes next.
