Cancer Coach & Nurse Navigator

April 14, 2026

A cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming. In our community, patients and families don’t have to navigate that journey alone. Winchester District Memorial Hospital offers the support of a Cancer Coach & Nurse Navigator, a dedicated role designed to guide patients and families through the cancer journey with clarity, compassion, and confidence.

Callie Laurin, Cancer Coach & Nurse Navigator, works one-on-one with patients and their families to help coordinate care, explain screening results and treatment options, and serve as a consistent point of contact along the way. From early screening to treatment, recovery, or follow-up care, Callie helps patients understand what comes next and feel supported every step of the way.

The Cancer Coach & Nurse Navigator helps remove barriers to care, connects patients with helpful resources, and ensures they feel informed and empowered when making decisions about their health. Patients can reach out at any point, before treatment begins; before or after surgery; and before, during, or after chemotherapy or radiation therapy. You do not need to be receiving cancer care at WDMH to access this service. Family members and caregivers are always welcome to connect for support or guidance as well.

If you or a loved one are facing a cancer diagnosis, support is close to home, and just a phone call away. Patients and family members can self-refer by contacting Callie directly:

Questions are always welcome.
Together, we’ll get through this.
