Discovering Compassionate Care - Close to Home: Cardiac Services
February 17, 2026
Winchester District Memorial Hospital is proud
to offer a wide range of cardiac services designed to support the heart health
of our community. From quick, routine
tests, to more in-depth monitoring, our dedicated team is committed to
providing safe, professional and patient-centered care.
Here’s a look at the cardiac services
available at WDMH:
Holter Monitoring
A Holter monitor helps us track your heart rhythm while you go about your day.
Small electrodes are placed on your chest and are connected to a lightweight
portable monitor that’s worn for 48 hours to 14 days. Once the monitor is
returned, a physician reviews the results.
Electrocardiogram (ECG)
An ECG is a quick and painless test that measures your heart’s electrical
activity. It helps health care providers
spot any irregular heartbeat or rhythm.
Cardiac Stress Testing
During a stress test, you will walk or run on a treadmill while your heart
rate, rhythm, and blood pressure are monitored.
Echocardiogram (ECHO)
An ECHO uses ultrasound to create images of your heart helping us see how the heart’s
chambers and valves are working.
When it comes to your heart health, at WDMH we
never miss a beat.
