We Asked. You Answered. Thanks for the Baby Pics!

March 04, 2022

Sometimes the story behind the story is a good one too! This week, CTV News came to Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) to do a story on the 796 babies that were born at the hospital in 2021.

The reporter asked for some baby pictures, so we did a shout-out on Facebook. A few hours later, we had heard from more than 160 families – all eager to share pictures and stories of their experience at WDMH.

“We were overwhelmed by the response and so excited to see all of the WDMH babies. It was also great to hear the wonderful comments about the WDMH team,” notes Cholly Boland, CEO. “Thank you to everyone who submitted a picture and took the time to tell us about their experience at WDMH.”

The WDMH Childbirth Program offers a home-like setting that has been recognized for its family-centred care. In fact, we were rated as the top maternity program - by patients and their families. We recognize that birth is a natural process and are respectful of individual choices, cultures, and customs. Our goal is to create a setting that provides physical and emotional comfort and promotes learning during this important time.

Once again, welcome to all the WDMH babies born in 2021 – and congratulations to their families!
