Visitors

Visiting hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Only 2 visitors at a time in ICU please.

Parking

During the construction period, parking areas will change periodically. Watch for signs to direct you to the appropriate parking or waiting areas.

A parking pass may be obtained from the Business Office for a monthly fee of $20.00 for patients and visitors making frequent trips to the Hospital.  Please contact extension 6165 for more information or to obtain your pass.

Mail

Mail is sent and received via Canada Post at noon, Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays.  Patient mail is delivered by volunteers at approximately 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. each day.  Your incoming mail should be clearly labeled with:

E-mail

Winchester District Memorial Hospital is pleased to offer an e-mail service to our patients.  The patient’s name, and room number (if known,) is required.  We also require the sender’s full name and e-mail address. Messages will be printed and hand delivered to the patient by the following business day. If the patient is no longer in the Hospital, messages will be discarded without notification to the sender.  E-mail should be treated as if it were a postcard.   Messages should not include anything that would not be put on a postcard.  To send a message, visit the Contact Us section.

Cultural / Language Interpreters

It is important for you to understand your care and treatment. If you require an interpreter or have a hearing impediment, please speak with a member of your health care team for assistance. A number of WDMH staff members speak additional languages and are willing to offer informal assistance to patients.
