The Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) is a community teaching hospital serving a population of approximately 90,000 residents. Located in the town of Winchester the Hospital serves a catchment area covering North and South Dundas, North and South Stormont, Russell, Edwardsburg/Cardinal and Osgoode.
The Hospital offers a wide range of services to meet the needs of the population it serves.
- Emergency Care 24 hours per day/7 days per week
- General Surgery with a special focus in cancer (bowel and breast); Urology; Gynecology; Ophthalmology (cataract)
- Cardiac, respiratory and diabetic care
- Obstetrics and Neonatal Care
- Specialty Pediatrics (childhood obesity)
- Restoration, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care
- Haemodialysis and Chemotherapy.
These services are supported by an in-hospital laboratory as well as community laboratory services in partnership with Gamma Dynacare. Diagnostic Services include: General X-Ray, Ultrasound. Fluoroscopy, ECG and Stress Testing, Holter Monitoring. Bone Mineral Density and coming soon, CT Scanning.
