The Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) is a community teaching hospital serving a population of approximately 90,000 residents. Located in the town of Winchester the Hospital serves a catchment area covering North and South Dundas, North and South Stormont, Russell, Edwardsburg/Cardinal and Osgoode.

The Hospital offers a wide range of services to meet the needs of the population it serves.

  • Emergency Care 24 hours per day/7 days per week
  • General Surgery with a special focus in cancer (bowel and breast); Urology; Gynecology; Ophthalmology (cataract)
  • Cardiac, respiratory and diabetic care
  • Obstetrics and Neonatal Care
  • Specialty Pediatrics (childhood obesity)
  • Restoration, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care
  • Haemodialysis and Chemotherapy.

These services are supported by an in-hospital laboratory as well as community laboratory services in partnership with Gamma Dynacare. Diagnostic Services include: General X-Ray, Ultrasound. Fluoroscopy, ECG and Stress Testing, Holter Monitoring. Bone Mineral Density and coming soon, CT Scanning.

Osgoode Ward Open House Set For October 18

Winchester District Memorial Hospital is partnering with Ottawa City Councillor Doug Thompson to host an ‘Osgoode Ward Open House’ on Sunday, October 18.  The purpose of the event is to show the new Winchester District Memorial Hospital to neighbours in the Osgoode Ward area.

Chemotherapy Patients Receive Care at Home Thanks to Enhanced Program at WDMH

The new Chemotherapy Home Infusion Pump Program (CHIPP) at Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) is bringing additional chemotherapy treatments closer to home for local residents.  In fact, it’s bringing treatments right to their homes.
