- Three years recent, (within the past 5 years) working experience in the operation of boilers, water treatment processes, diesel generators and transfer switches, medical vacuum systems, water softeners and domestic hot water, essential
- Experience in AHUs, closed loop heating, exhaust hoods, refrigeration, HVAC systems, welding, and pipefitting and plumbing, essential
- Experience working in an automated environment is essential
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code, Safety Codes and Plumbing Codes, an asset
- Building Environmental Systems Operator Certification and/or Ontario 4th Class Stationary Engineering Certificate, an asset
- Demonstrated knowledge of the application and purpose of preventative maintenance systems
- Good attendance and availability.
- Must be available for on-call and call-back with response time of 30 minutes or less
- Experience in Building Automation systems required
- Must be willing and able to work in a cooperative manner with other staff and contractors.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
