Message From The Chair
Welcome to Winchester District Memorial Hospital.
Winchester District Memorial Hospital was built by the citizens of Winchester and surrounding communities to honour the men and women who served in World War II. The communities conceived the plan, raised the funds and WDMH opened in 1948 amid great fanfare.
Since that time our facility has provided quality health care to hundreds of thousands of patients. Winchester District Memorial Hospital has a long and proud tradition of providing skilled and caring services to our communities.
Together with our communities, we will continue to build for the future. In fact, we are currently creating a Centre of Excellence for Rural Health and Education to bring health care and community partners together to ensure that excellence care is close to home.
This web site has been developed to answer some of the questions you and your family may have about your community hospital. We welcome your comments and feedback.
