Current Courses
- Heart & Stroke Basic Life Support (BLS)
Our Basic Life Support (BLS) provider course provides certificates in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). This course is designed to provide healthcare providers and first responders the skills needed to act as a single-rescuer and team responder, focusing on high-quality CPR and team dynamics.
This course consists of instructor-led classroom learning combined with hands on-simulation with our high-fidelity SimMan®. Real-life scenario simulations allow you to build confidence, practice and reinforce your learning with 1:1 coaching and guidance from our instructor. Simulations allow you to practice and reinforce recognition of several life-threatening emergencies, high-quality chest compression, appropriate ventilation, and early use of an AED.
Upon successful completion of the training, participants will receive a Heart and Stroke BLS Provider certification valid for 1year.

- Heart & Stroke ACLS Provider Training - Full Course
Our ACLS provider course supports healthcare providers in developing the skills needed to improve outcomes in adult patients experiencing a cardiovascular emergency in an innovative and immersive experience.
This course consists of instructor-led classroom learning combined with hands on-simulation with our high-fidelity SimMan®. Simulations involve high-quality CPR, high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes. mannequin. Real-life scenario simulations allow you to practice and reinforce your learning with 1:1 coaching and guidance from our instructor and strengthen your ability to communicate and work effectively during cardiac-related emergencies.
Pre-Requisites:
- Heart and Stroke BLS Provider within 1 year. Learners must submit their Heart and Stroke ID# at the time of registration.
Upon successful completion of the training, participants will receive a Heart and Stroke Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider (ACLS) certification valid for 2 years.

- HeartSaver® (Level C) CPR & AED Training
Our Heartsaver® course teaches the essentials of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) basics. This program is geared toward non-healthcare providers and focuses on learning practical lifesaving skills and knowledge.
The course consists of instructor-lead classroom learning with our CPR simulation with built-in feedback sensors that will help you develop the skills needed to respond confidently and effectively in a cardiac arrest emergency.
Upon successful completion of the training, participants will receive a Heart and Stroke Heartsaver® CPR AED – Level C certification valid for 1year.

- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI): Full Certification
Our Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) course offers training on how to respond effectively to safely assess, defuse, and de-escalate aggressive or violent behavior early and apply appropriate verbal and/or physical interventions safely.
This training will support your learning to:
• Improve decision making
• Minimize physical interventions
• Gain the confidence to recognize risk behaviour & respond to defensive behaviours
• Understand what’s behind behaviour
• Address the needs of the individual.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Certificate in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and Verbal Intervention. Certification Valid for 2 years at which time participants can take the Renewal Course

- Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA)
The GPA Basics course is an innovative dementia care education session based on a person-centered care approach. This course is for any individual who works in a health care setting and promotes basic understanding of dementia and its relationship with a person’s responsive behaviors. Participants will learn strategies for safe and effective communication at multiple points of care, and support promoting comfort and maintaining human dignity.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an Age GPA Basics Certificate of Participation.
