  • Continue to position Winchester District Memorial Hospital as a regional hub hospital and as a partner in rural hospital/health care
  • Review clinical and academic strategic decisions and articulate a “go forward” position
  • Resolve future financial viability for WDMH.  Sign Accountability Agreement for at least 2008/09
  • Provide due-diligence for the current capital project
  • Consider the nursing home capital project and make recommendations to the community and the LHIN
  • Implement and evaluate the new hospital governance model and committee structure
  • Approve Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations
  • Provide oversight for Board committee objectives and plans
  • Evolve Board system for clinical and operational organizational performance management
