- Continue to position Winchester District Memorial Hospital as a regional hub hospital and as a partner in rural hospital/health care
- Review clinical and academic strategic decisions and articulate a “go forward” position
- Resolve future financial viability for WDMH. Sign Accountability Agreement for at least 2008/09
- Provide due-diligence for the current capital project
- Consider the nursing home capital project and make recommendations to the community and the LHIN
- Implement and evaluate the new hospital governance model and committee structure
- Approve Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations
- Provide oversight for Board committee objectives and plans
- Evolve Board system for clinical and operational organizational performance management
